THE FOUR LEI CONTEST CATEGORIES:
1. Edible Lei
2. Medicinal Lei,
3. Aromatherapy Lei
4. Recycled materials Lei
1. Edible Lei: must be 100% edible and must include a list of all plant materials used (no paper, no candy please) Extra points for organic!
2. Medicinal Lei: must be made from plants that have known medicinal or health benefits. Please list all plants used and their healing properties (cultural uses)
3. Aromatherapy Lei: will be judged on the fragrant and aromatic quality . Include a list of the flowers and leaves selected.
4. Recycled Material: Be kind to the "aina. Made of found or recycled objects.
Leis must be received at the Kauai Healing Garden Festival at the Kilohana Plantation by 10:30 and will be on display until 3:00.
Judging will take place at 11:30 and prizes awarded at 4:00. Silent Auction closes at 3:00, and leis must be picked up by 5:00.
All leis become the property of Hawaii Health Guide and will be sold at a silent auction on June 19th at the Hawaii Healing Garden Festival at Kilohana Plantation as a fundraiser for support of the Women & Children's Assault Prevention Self Defense Class being held at Kauai Athletic Club on June 20th 2:30-5:30pm and other classes and programs offered June 20-23 on Kauai.

The Statewide Hawaii Healing Garden Festival is a celebration of Green Sustainable Healthy Living, and the Multi-Cultural Medicinal and Nutritional Plants that grow in Hawaii.
The Healing Garden starts with a festival, speakers, performances, children's programs and activities and a health expo on Kauai August 22nd .
The Healing Garden Festival at Kilohana Plantation is $5.00 to the public. Admission includes access to the Health Expo and all lectures and activities, including a Hawaii SLAM poetry workshop with Kealoha,
