Amazon Medicine and Superfoods from the Amazon Rainforest and Andean Mtns.
An exapnded workshop on the top 20 botanicals of the Amazon rainforest and the Andes Mountains of South America. From the upper reaches of the Amazon River basin to small tributaries of Brazil, Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador, we uncover what indigenous people have known for centuries: A veritable green pharmacy of powerful medicinal herbs sequestered away in the steaming realms of the Amazon basin and Andes Mountains. This workshop offers an overview of the herbology and the cosmology of numerous tribes and, details on how to use the most popular botanicals from South America. Botanical drugs first found in the Amazon are now the chemical models for many modern-day treatments.
