Kauai Fungi
is a family-owned environmentally friendly company specializing in the cultivation of gourmet and medicinal mushrooms. We are working to improve the health and well being of the community, our Islands and human beings worldwide. Located on 12 acres, in Kilauea, on the beautiful north shore, Kauai Fungi’s owner and chief mycologist; Philly White, his wife Tara and partner Chris Shay run the mushroom farm with joy and precision. As the only commercial mushroom farm on Kauai and one of only two in the entire state of Hawaii, we are striving to meet the needs of local consumers with fresh gourmet mushrooms.
We grow
Pink, Blue, Phoenix and Golden Oyster Mushrooms.
Where to get fresh mushrooms
Our mushrooms are available at the Hanalei, Waipa and the Kilauea Farmers Markets.
They are also found at Papayas Natural Foods, Hoku Whole Foods, Banana Joes and the Healthy Hut.
Kauai Fungi’s Oyster Mushrooms are featured on several of Kauai’s favorite restaurant menus… Bar Acuda, Kauai Pasta, Hukilau, Wahoo, the Hilton and Weston Resorts.
