Dr. Jane Ely is a minister, healer, teacher and dean of The Peacemaker School. Her practices and teachings encompass: prayer, meditation, spiritual practices, environmental education, traditional laying-on-of-hands, energy medicine, community building, creative arts, insight and awareness training, activism and counseling services.

Jane Ely, D. Min. is an ecopsychologist receiving training in energy medicine, dream and guided imagery, psychodynamics, peacemaking skills, and skillful means to support death and dying for individuals and families from various world-renowned teachers.
She is a graduate of Barbara Brennan School of Healing Science Training, and the University of Creation Spirituality, with additional training in Conflict Partnership with Dudley Weeks, Ph. D.; the Upaya Center, Joan Halifax, Death and Dying program for professional caregivers; and, Lomi lomi [Hawaiian healing massage], Dr. Maka’ala Yates.
Her book, Remembering the Ancestral Soul: Soul Loss and Recovery has received critical acclaim. In it she interviews elders from cross-cultural traditions on the epidemic condition recognized by indigenous cultures as Soul Loss.
Her new CD released by the Monroe Products in Oct. 2006 entitled Turtle Island, is a creation story for adults and children about our interdependence and inter-relatedness with our mother earth and all life.
Dr. Ely teaches internationally on Ecopsychology, dream work, peacemaking skills, and traditional energy medicine as skillful means for transformation. Her ancestry is Mi’kmaq, Cherokee and Scottish. She is the Founder and Dean of The Peacemaker School, an international school dedicated to teaching peacemaking and conflict partnership.
Jane developed and teaches a four level program entitled Energy Medicine and Ecopsychology, a program delving into healing concepts and practices for individual transformation. Jane has a private counsel practice based upon traditional therapies in Lihue, Kauai, HI. 808-245-4246 and, on the east coast in Delaware and Pennsylvania 570-807-4989.
Dr. Ely is presently writing On Being a Peacemaker: Practical Skills for Personal and Global Change, a collection of her essays and daily life-skills for peacemaking, to be published in 2009. And another book entitled: Awakening from the Trance: A Guide Book for Activating Your True Potential.
She lives on Kauai, HI with three quirky cats who teach her about love, life, and the healing properties of napping. She is an organic gardener.
