The medical practice is modeled after a growing trend of solo private practitioners that are attempting to recapture traditional values of the doctor-patient relationship in our current medical system.



Dr. Podolny's medical practice is designed to enhance the doctor-patient relationship by providing personalized, hands on, accessible health care.  He works one on one to provide an appropriate, patient centered, health plan. His extensive studies in both alternative and traditional medical studies allows Dr. Podolny to present a full spectrum of treatment options to the patient, who may then choose which fits best for them.  



Established patients have expanded access to Dr. Podolny through his private line and email.  Many issues, if appropriate, may be handled over the phone or via the internet.  



About Dr. Podolny

Dr. Richard Podolny received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2004 from the University of Hawaii, John A Burns School of Medicine. He completed his University of Hawaii Family Medicine residency in 2007 and is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine as well as the American Board of Holistic Medicine. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Association of Family Practice, and the American Board of Holistic Medicine. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.



Dr. Podolny is dedicated to the integration of conventional allopathic medicine with appropriate mind/body treatment protocols. Dr. Podolny traveled and worked extensively prior to living in Hawaii.  In addition to his work in Buenos Aires, Moscow, Stockholm, London and Sydney, he spent nine years in Japan and has a working knowledge of the language.



His extracurricular interests include: Spending time with his family, Native American studies, Ballroom dance, information technologies, music,Tai Chi and Eastern meditation and philosophy.

Health insurance
We are currently accepting HMSA PPO, HMAA, HMSA Quest and Aloha Quest health insurance.  If your health insurance is not listed we will file a claim on your behalf with your insurance company who may provide some reimbursement for your visit fee. If you have concerns about the reimbursement policies of your insurance company please contact them prior to your visit.
