What do you do after you've been staring at goats too long? Grab director Alexander Payne and move to Hawaii.
That's what George Clooney will be doing this spring to shoot a movie based on the book "The Descendants" by first-time novelist Kaui Hart Hemmings. The plot revolves around a Hawaiian landowner who learns that his wife has not only fallen into a coma, but has a lover who doesn't know. So he grabs his two daughters and goes in search of the unknown lover to keep the family together. Filming will begin in Hawaii early next year, maybe in March, Payne said. He hopes to have the film completed in time for release late next year.
"I'm moving to Hawaii to make a movie. Score!" Payne said at a reception held by the Nebraska Film Association, a group lobbying for the tax incentives. "It's an adaptation of a novel."
